SideKickCo - Cookie Policy
Effective Date: 30 July 2026
Website: www.sidekickco.co.uk
1. Introduction
This Cookie Policy explains how Launch Mode Ltd trading as SideKickCo ("we", "us", or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit our website and use our application. It explains what these technologies are and why we use them, as well as your rights to control our use of them.
This policy forms part of our commitment to transparency under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and UK data protection laws.
2. What are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. They are widely used by website owners to make their websites work, or to work more efficiently, as well as to provide reporting information.
First-party cookies: Cookies set by the website owner (SideKickCo).
Third-party cookies: Cookies set by parties other than the website owner (e.g., Stripe for payment processing or analytics providers).
3. How and Why We Use Cookies
We use cookies for several reasons. Some cookies are required for technical reasons in order for our website and application to operate, and we refer to these as "Essential" or "Strictly Necessary" cookies. Other cookies enable us to track and target the interests of our users to enhance the experience on our properties.
Categories of Cookies We Use:
| Category | Purpose | Consent Requirement |
|---|---|---|
| Essential / Strictly Necessary | These cookies are vital for the website and app to function. They include login session cookies, security tokens, and cookies used by our payment processor (Stripe) to securely manage billing. | No consent required (Always active) |
| Performance & Analytics | These allow us to count visits and traffic sources so we can measure and improve the performance of our site. | Requires user consent |
| Functionality | Used to recognize you when you return to our website, allowing us to personalize content and remember your preferences. | Requires user consent |
| Targeting / Advertising | Records your visit to our website, pages visited, and links followed. Used to deliver relevant B2B marketing. | Requires user consent |
4. Specific Third-Party Cookies (Stripe)
To securely process your subscription payments, we use Stripe. Stripe sets essential cookies to ensure fraud prevention and to securely route your payment data. Because these are strictly necessary for the fulfillment of your commercial contract with us, they cannot be turned off. For more information on Stripe's cookie usage, please visit Stripe's Cookie Policy.
5. Specific Third-Party Cookies (Meta)
We advertise SideKickCo to UK trades businesses on Meta's platforms (Facebook and Instagram). To understand which of our adverts actually lead to enquiries and sign-ups, we use the Meta Pixel. Where you have accepted Targeting / Advertising cookies, it sets two cookies: _fbp, which identifies your browser, and _fbc, which records that you arrived from one of our adverts. These are not strictly necessary, so they are never set unless you accept them, and we do not set them if you choose "Necessary only".
Alongside these cookies, and again only where you have accepted them, we send Meta a record of the same key actions directly from our servers using Meta's Conversions API - for example viewing our pricing page, requesting a demo call, or completing a purchase. Where you have given us your email address or phone number as part of that action, it is converted into an irreversible SHA-256 hash before it is sent, so Meta receives a scrambled value and never your actual email address or phone number from us. Each action carries a single shared identifier so that the browser and server records of the same event are recognised as one, and you are not counted twice.
You can withdraw your consent at any time using the Cookie Preferences link in our website footer, which stops all further Meta cookies and server-side advertising events. For more information on how Meta uses this data, please see Meta's Cookies Policy and their Privacy Policy.
6. Specific Third-Party Cookies (Microsoft Clarity)
To understand how visitors use our website and where they run into difficulty, we use Microsoft Clarity. Where you have accepted Targeting / Advertising cookies, it records how pages are used - clicks, scrolling and navigation - and sets the cookies _clck and _clsk to recognise repeat visits within a session. Clarity is used on our public website only and never inside your signed-in dashboard, so your customer and call information is never recorded. Anything you type into a form field is masked in your browser before it is sent, so we never receive it. You can withdraw consent at any time using the Cookie Preferences link in our website footer. For more information, please see Microsoft's Privacy Statement.
7. How You Can Manage Cookies
You have the right to decide whether to accept or reject non-essential cookies. You can exercise your cookie rights by setting your preferences in our Cookie Consent Banner when you first visit the site.
Additionally, most web browsers allow some control of most cookies through the browser settings. To find out more about cookies, including how to see what cookies have been set, visit www.aboutcookies.org or www.allaboutcookies.org.
8. Updates to this Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time in order to reflect changes to the cookies we use or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. Please revisit this Cookie Policy regularly to stay informed about our use of cookies and related technologies.
9. Contact Us
